Kenya will be aiming to secure the women’s volleyball ticket to the 2028 Los Angels Olympic games when Malkia strikers play against Egypt today 4 th September in the 2026 Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship (CAVB) final.
The match is scheduled for 6pm at the Kasarani Indoor Arena, Moi International Sports Centre, with the winner not only being crowned African champions but also earning the continent’s Olympic berth for the Los Angeles games.
Kenya made their triumphal entry into the final after thrashing Cameroon 25-19, 25-20, 25-20 in the semi final, inching closer to a record 11th Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship should they beat Egypt today.
The flawless performance by Geoffrey Omondi’s squad has set up high stakes in the much-awaited showdown against Egypt who swept Rwanda 3-0 in the other semi-final, to book their place in the final.
