Kenya’s youth have every reason to believe in their future. On 10th February 2026, The Government spokes person has announced that over KSh 2.5 billion has been disbursed to young people through the Nyota Fund. Emphasizing that “This is not a handout… you must undergo a four-day training.” This is empowerment with structure.
Who Can Apply?
• Aged 18–29 years (up to 35 years for Persons with Disabilities)
• Education level: Form 4 (KCSE) or below
• Unemployed, underemployed, or in low-income jobs
• Open to youth in all 47 counties
•Some components may require an Entrepreneurship Aptitude Test (EAT)
How to Apply
Applications are done via USSD — no smartphone or internet needed.
1. Dial *254# on any mobile network.
2. Select NYOTA Project from the menu.
3. Enter your National ID number and personal details.
4. Choose your preferred component (Business Support, On-the-Job Experience, etc.).
5. Complete any required aptitude questions.
6. Submit and wait for SMS confirmation.
