Jambojet resumes daily flights between Nairobi and Entebbe

Kenyan airline Jambojet has resumed daily flights between Nairobi and Entebbe, Uganda, reconnecting the two East African cities after a six-year suspension caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The service officially resumed on October 1, 2026, marking Jambojet’s return to the Ugandan market.

The airline is operating the route using De Havilland Canada Dash 8-Q400 aircraft. The daily service provides another option for passengers travelling between Kenya and Uganda for business, tourism, family visits and trade, while also offering cargo and parcel services on the route.

Jambojet Managing Director and CEO Karanja Ndegwa said the return to Uganda is part of the airline’s broader regional expansion strategy. The carrier expects the service to strengthen connectivity and create opportunities for increased movement of people and goods between the two countries.

“We see significant opportunities to support business, tourism and trade between Kenya and Uganda while providing travellers with an affordable, reliable and convenient flying experience that Jambojet is known for,” he said.

The Nairobi–Entebbe route also provides Ugandan travellers with connections through Jambojet’s Kenyan network to destinations such as Mombasa, Diani, Malindi and Lamu.

For travellers and businesses, the resumption adds capacity to an important regional aviation corridor and signals Jambojet’s renewed focus on expanding beyond Kenya.
