On Sunday this week, at the electrifying Ulinzi Sports Complex, Kenya’s U20 women’s national team, the Harambee Starlets, put on a show to remember. They thrashed Ethiopia 4–0 in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifier, a result that not only sparked joy across the nation but also earned them a KSh 1 million reward from the Ministry of Sports and Football Kenya Federation (FKF).

The fearless, fast-rising queens of Kenyan football played with courage and determination. With impeccable skill, discipline, they are a reason to believe that  Kenya is now a force to be reckoned with in women’s football.

Their dominant performance sees them advance to the third round, where they’ll face Tanzania in what promises to be a thrilling East African derby.
