Harambee Stars Head Coach Unveils His CHAN 2025 Squad

Harambee Stars are gearing up for a shot at continental glory as they prepare to debut in the African Nations Championship CHAN 2025, set to kick off on August 3rd at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani and Nyayo Stadium.

Unlike AFCON, CHAN is a tournament exclusively for players who play in their local leagues. That means Kenya’s squad is 100% homegrown and this year’s lineup is looking good.

Head coach Benni McCarthy has dropped a 25-man list blending youth, talent, and experience.
Notable inclusions are:

  • Bryne Omondi (Gor Mahia) in goal
  • Defense featuring Sylvester Owino, Alphonce Omija, Daniel Sakari, and Siraj Mohamed
  • Midfield dynamos like Ben Stanley, Alpha Onyango, and Austin Odhiambo
  • Upfront threats include Masud Juma, Felix Oluoch, Boniface Muchiri, and Austin ‘Musa’ Odongo—who’s already being dubbed the “next big thing.”

This is not just another tournament. It’s McCarthy’s moment to show the fans and continent that Kenya got talent, drive, and firepower. With CHAN 2025 being hosted on our own soil, the pressure and pride is real.

Is this the squad to take us to the knockout rounds, or even the trophy? 🇰🇪
